Frozen mint green tea pops are sweet and deliciously refreshing!
Such an easy recipe, make it with your favorite herbal tea, sweeten it with the sweetener of your choice, there you go with a light and healthy popsicle. Green tea is full of interesting properties, antioxidant, digestive, energetic, etc.
Although I don’t sweeten hot tea at all, frozen tea popsicles taste much better if well sweetened as it gives them texture.
1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated white sugar, or sweetener of your choice
1/2 cup (110 grams) water
2 1/2 cups (500 ml) green tea
2 twigs fresh mint
Place the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to boil, let the mixture boil for one more minute, remove from heat
Boil water and infuse with your favorite green tea, even mint green tea
Add the sugar syrup to the tea, stir well
Add the 2 fresh mint twigs and infuse until the tea has completely cooled
Remove the mint, fill your ice cream molds up to about an inch to the brim and freeze for a minimum of 4 hours
Do not forget to insert the stick after about 1.30 hours of freezing
