Green beans bundled with bacon, a delicious and original side dish.
I also like these bundles as a snack, an appetizer, why not?
Errr…I wouldn’t count on leftovers with these bundles…
18 oz. (500 g) fine green beans, stems removed
1.5 liter of water
Salt
About 10 to 12 slices of bacon
Pepper to taste
Into a saucepan, bring to boil 1.5 liter of water, add a good pinch of salt, add the green beans and cook for about 12 to 15 minutes, they must be cooked through but still firm
Drain and let cool until you can handle them
Using half a slice of bacon, bundle about 10 or 12 green beans or as many as you want
Arrange all the bundles into a large pan seam side down
Sprinkle pepper to your taste
Serve hot, lukewarm, cold
Sear on all sides a few minutes
Sprinkle pepper to your taste
Serve hot, lukewarm or cold with any of your favorite cut of meat
