How easy and quick this homemade peanut butter recipe is to make! Making your own peanut butter is cheaper, healthier and tastes so much better!
Almost anything homemade comes out cheaper and will help you save a few dollars on your shopping. It’s the case with homemade peanut butter plus it will take you about all of 15 minutes to make it plus it will be all natural!
What is peanut butter?
Peanut butter is obtained by processing peanuts in a food processor until they release their natural oil and transform into a paste. No actual butter is needed to make peanut butter. In my recipe I add a little bit of vegetable oil to make it creamier and easily spreadable.
To make your own peanut butter, you may use either raw peanuts or unsalted roasted peanuts, a little honey if you want to sweeten it and 2 or 3 tsp of vegetable oil to make it creamier.
Tip: If you are using raw peanuts, it’s better to roast them for about 10 minutes in a 400°F (200°C) oven, that’ll help soften them and release their oil more easily.
You can consume this peanut butter as a spread and in your baking, please check these recipes:

A pinch of salt

If you like your peanut butter chunky, add about 1/4 cup of peanuts to a freezer bag and bang them with a rolling pin, add to the peanut butter and mix with a spatula
