This fava bean hummus is very flavorful, I like to serve it with my pita bread, it can also be served on toasts, it’s a delicious appetizer on any party!
I used frozen fava beans for this recipe, cook them according to the instructions on the pack minus 2 or 3 minutes. You will need to remove the skin that surrounds the bean, it’s much easier to do when the bean is not too smooth.
Once you have cooked the fava beans and removed the skin, this is an easy and quick recipe where you just dump all the ingredients into your food processor, process and serve.
Do not make more than a few hours in advance though as it tends to brown on the surface, nothing that a good stirring can’t mend, the humus will still be delicious about 2 more days.
